What Causes Sharp Pain In Middle Of Chest?

I'm 16 years old and over a period of time I've had moments where I get a somewhat sharp pain in my chest, in the middle to be exact and with it, it gets a lot of pressure too and It's very difficult for me to breathe. It only lasts for a few seconds every time it happens.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
At your age, stress and anxiety are more likely causes for your symptoms (central chest tightness, pain, breathing difficulty).. But better to get done ecg, 2d echo and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to rule out heart and lung diseases.
If all these are normal then no need to worry much.
Consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions.
Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution.
You may need anxiolytic drugs (propranolol and flunarizine combination) too.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
