What Causes Sharp Pain In My Lower Abdomen Area?

I have sharp pain in my lower stomach abdomen area on and off since yesterday. It almost feels like a strain, but the fact that it on and off tells me its not. I haven t had diarrhea or other symptoms of a stomach virus, so wondering what it may be. Stool is not normal, but full blown diarrhea.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seemt o be related to a gastorenteritis. I suggest using an over the counter opiton to treat diarrhea such as Imodium. I also suggest using daily probiotics. I sugegst to eat a plain diet and avoid food that can trigger the symptoms such as grassy food.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
