What Causes Sharp Pain In Parietal Lobe In Brain And Ear?

I have a sharp stabbing pain at times in my right parietal lobe and other times in my right ear. I have had these headaches for the past 12 or 13 years. The pain only lasts for a few brief seconds and occur irregularly throughout the day. I have been to a doctor when they first started and was diagnosed with tension headaches. I was told to take Acetaminophen. This medication provides no relief neither does ibuprofen or ketorolac or naproxen. What do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms can be related to migraine.
I see through the query that you have already used several anti inflammatory medications.
So, I suggest to consult a neurologist for prescription painkillers such as Triptans.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
