What Causes Sharp Pain In Right Eye,dizziness And Vomiting?
I had some form of attack today that seems to be lingering. It started around 3:30. I slept for two hours and symptoms seem to have faded. They included: Severe sharp pain behind the right eye,Lightheaded ness while walking,Vomiting caused by walking,Intense cold sweats almost to the point of a burning sensation.The eye pain is the only thing that remained constant,Some sensitivity to light,BP - 136/78.I m on methylphenidate 20mg, propranolol 120mg, levothroxine .5mg
The causes of your symptoms may be the following: 1) Migraine headache 2) Cluster headache 3) Exertional headache 4) Crash migraine 5) Intracranial aneurysm 6) Intracranial space occupying lesion 7) Intracranial hemorrhage 8) Temporal or giant cell arteritis 9) Transient ischemic attack or mini stroke
To those patients who come to my clinic with similar symptoms, I recommend the following: 1) Detailed neurological examination in person 2) MRI brain 3) Eye examination 4) Intraocular pressure or eye pressure measurement 5) Only after the cause is known it can be treated accordingly
