What Causes Sharp Pain In The Back And Armpit?

I was hospitalized at the end of May and Sent home with Antibiotic and the step down of Steroids. It will be three weeks since released tomorrow. I had a low oxygen rate of 44 when I made it to the hospital. I was sent home with oxygen to be at rest 2L and active 3L. I stop taking my pearl cough medication 3 x a day but because I was not producing a lot of phlegm. Today I have had the phlegm production but I was getting lite headed with the cough my O2 is 94 off the oxygen and 97 with oxygen. Well I found that I had turned up my output to 2.5 to take a shower and forgot to reduce (so this could be my lite headed problem). What I am concerned about is I had a sharp pain in my back where the lungs are located and pain under my arm pit. Got a little worried about Collapse Lung.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to muscle sprain. For pain, you can take tablet acetaminophen.

Do regular physical therapy. In case of not getting relief, you may require MRI back after orthopedician consultation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
