What Causes Sharp Pain In The Back Side Of Legs?

I HAVE A SHARP STABBING PAIN, LIKE SOMEONE IS STICKING ME WITH A PIN. THIS COMES AND GOES. SOMETIMES ITS GONE FOR MONTHS. IT NEVER LASTS VERY LONG. HOWEVER IT KEEPS STABBING UNTIL I OVER STRECH THE LEG. THE PAIN IS ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE LEG, ABOVE THE CALF IN THE BEND OF THE LEG

Possible causes like vascular occlusive diseases must be ruled out. Consult a general surgeon and get evaluated. An arterial Doppler is required to make a diagnosis.
