What Causes Sharp Pain In The Collarbone?

I am having an ache in my shoulder. it was only hurting when I moved it up and to the front and back. Now I am having a pain near my clavical bone. It has been coming and going all afternoon. The pain there kind of builds, crests and then subsides and it lasts less than a minute. This is on my right side and I am a 57 year old female that has diabetes, High Cholesterol and Blood pressure.
