What Causes Sharp Pain In The Head?

I am experiencing sharp pain on the top of my head (right side). The pain is intermittent and feels like a one or two second sharp strike -- and always in the same spot. It hurts to touch my hair in that area due to tenderness and I flinch when it strikes. . Usually lasts a couple of days and I get it every year. Seems to always be at or near the top of my head. Sometimes I also feel the pain radiate from my ear and sometimes have a sore-ish jaw. Please advise.

Hello,

You may be suffering from migrainous headache or neuralgia or tension headache etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet Naprosyn twice a day for five days.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
