Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My symptoms began on Thursday and are intermittent. I get sharp pains and cramps in my lower abdomen, mainly in the center, but not at exactly the same place each time. It feel like a bowel movement or passing gas would relieve, but it does not. As I sit down, it feels tender in the whole general area, but definitely not muscular. I am 52 and have not had a period for almost a year.
Hello Dear. You are probably having gastritis. You can take over the counter drugs like pantaprazole or omeprazole and see if it relieves your pain. You can also take mucaine gel or gelusil syrup for gastritis. Some of the other tips i would like to suggest you
1. Do not eat spicy food 2. Avoid intoxicants like alcohol. smoking, too much of tea and coffee 3. Take little food at frequent intervals. Breakfast around 8am, small snack at 11am, lunch at 1pm, small snack at 4pm and dinner at 8pm 4. Drink plenty of water 5. Do not take much of stress. Stress aggravates gastritis 6. Do regular exercise. Atleast half an hour per day 7. Learn meditation techniques
If you are not better with all these probably you need to get a Ultrasound abdomen scan.
Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you. All the best With warm regards Dr Sanjay Kini
