What Causes Sharp Pain In The Pelvis?

Hello. I am 50 years old. Relatively healthy until recently. About a month ago I experienced a sharp pain in the pelvic region that lasted approx 30 min. It occurred after eating garlic shrimp from a chinese restaraunt and immediately after it, ice cream. The pain finally eased off but once I got home from work where all thus occurred, I went to p and had the worst pain ever. Like I was peeing out a watermelon. It was sharp and hurt a lot. This happened again at least 3-4 times but the pain lessened each time. I was afraid and wanted to go to the ER but made an appt instead with my OBGYN. They tested my urine and did a BMP to check my kidney function. Which both were normal..? I felt like I wasnt emptying my bladder completely and I needed to strain to feel completely relieved. The doc did an ultra sound but my bladder was empty. Since that time I found out I had a fractured wrist from a car accident that happened in April. The urgent care apparently missed. Which leads me to my question and reason for consulting you, my blood pressure at the time of the visit to the OBGYN was elevated and still is, Ive been tired, and after I eat I feel bloated and unusually gasy. I wake with a tugging nagging pain right under my rib cage. I also have a sharp pain at times under my right shoulder blade. Im worried because my BP will not go down. Ive started to have headaches from it and my chest feels heavy and at times and Im short of breath and dizzy even. I have an appt on Tuesday the 11th. But Im worried.. ? What do you think..?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I doubt for the presence of gravels or calculus in the kidney, ureter or urinary bladder responsible for pelvic pain with dysuria.

I recommend primary relief with plenty of liquids, analgesic as Ibuprofen or else and get an X-ray KUB or ultrasound done for further management guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
