What Causes Sharp Pain In The Right Ankle And Knee?

I have had a low grade fever with some diarrhea in the last few days. For the last few hours I have had severe, sharp shooting pains in my rt ankle, inside knee. Also having the same on my lt arm and inside the elbow joint area. Have arthritis and take iboprophen 1-2 times per day. Just finished a 3 day series of 20 mg. Prednisone for COPD breathing symptoms.
