What Causes Sharp Pain In The Stomach?

I woke up around 2 am with sharp pains, laid back down and a sharp pain hit me at 4 am, my stomach was hurting really bad. Once I sat down, I saw this dark reddish burgundy color of blood in my clothes. As soon as I sat down on the toilet, I wasn t hurting anymore. My cycle is still on, and It normally doesn t last but 4 days.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

You will need to have a visit with your doctor and possibly and endoscopic examination of your stomach to rule out peptic ulcer disease. Duodenal ulcer can cause pain few hours after eating and is common to cause sharp abdominal pain after midnight hours.
Diagnosing and treating a peptic ulcer is important and also ruling out complications of the peptic ulcer which can be done by an endoscopic examination.
