What Causes Sharp Pain In The Upper Chest?

I get a sharp pain under/at my left front bone on my upper chest ...sorry mind blank on name...sometimes several sharp stabs or just one that almost brings tears, been getting them for years but never paid attention because they don t stay may go months till it hits again.

Sharp stabbing pain in chest is suggestive of pleural pain,
Pleural pain can occur due to pleural effusion, pleural infection, malignancy etc.
I suggest you to consult a pulmonologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus treatment.
