What Causes Sharp Pain In The Upper Left Chest?

Husband has been having pain in his upper chest on left side. He does have high blood pressure usually no higher than 150/90. When he has these pains it is more like 190/105. Because the pain is high on his chest, he feels it is not his heart. The spot is just below the shoulder bone. He has not had any injuries or pulled muscles.

This upper left chest pain may be due to heart, lungs, ribs, muscles, or may be due to the coverings of the heart.

We will investigate this problem deeply and try to understand from where this problem is occurring.

I would like to give some Tests:

1. Chest X-Ray
2. Complete Blood Count
3. Tests for Urea, Creatinine Level.
4. ECG
5. Chest USG
6. Tests for Troponin I, T, CK-MB, Myoglobin, LDH1
7. Fasting Blood Sugar

All these tests will give us detailed insights and a doctor can give you very good treatment.

If too much pain is there, please take Ibuprofen when needed, Remember, there must be a gap of 6 hours between consecutive doses.

I would also like to suggest Aspirin orally once a day. Do not worry, you are under treatment. Post another question with tests result, any doctor from healthcare magic will follow you up. You will get detailed treatment.
