What Causes Sharp Pain In Upper Left Chest Inspite Of Suffering From High BP?

I am a 68 year old woman, I am overweight and have arthritis, slight high blood pressure. I checked it and it was 136/82 about an hour ago. I was diagnosed with CHF about 6 years ago, I am not holding any extra water. Wanted you to know basics. I am having a sharp pain in my upper left breast, it comes and goes. I was just at the doctors Friday last, and he listens to the heart but no tests. Should I be concerned?

Hello,

Patients who present with chest pain are a diagnostic challenge given the wide array of possible etiologies, including a potentially life-threatening condition. You should see a doctor is this is new or severe, happen along with shortness of breath, last more than a few minutes, gets worse when you walk, climb stairs, or do other types of physical activity.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
