What Causes Sharp Pain In Upper Spine And Left Arm Pain?

for the past two weeks I have been having a very sharp pain in my upper spine area. It feels like a pinched nerve or something. When I pick my left arm up it hurts very bad. Not like a pulled muscle but like a knife or even feels like I am being electrocuted in a way?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that if you are elderly there might be having degenerative changes in your cervical spine and shoulder joint producing osteoartheritis of cervical spine and frozen shoulder.
Go for x-ray cervical spines and shoulder joint.
after report go for treatment like physiotherapy, short way diathermy as advised by orthopedic surgeon.
Ok and take care.
