What Causes Sharp Pain In Wound Site After Appendecttomy?

Hello, I had my appendix removed about 3 weeks ago, and over the last two weeks I have been getting sharp pain in and around the area that the appendix was removed. Its at the point where it hurts to walk, eat, and haven t been able to sleep, I called the hospital that performed the operation and all they said was that they would treat it with medication (which I have been trying to avoid). I am not sure what to do at this point but I am at the point where its getting difficult to manage. Any advice would be very helpful. Thank you

I read and understand your question very well.
I try my best to help you in this.

As you have gone through appendectomy and you feel pain in and around the area from where appendix was removed. It may be due to incision you get pain or may be some other pathology.
You have to take medicine for this. Do regular dressing of that area.
Also consult a good surgeon for this.
