Hi. I am age 21 and I had the implanon for about a month and it resulted to continuous heavy bleeding and I also had these sharp pain right under my rib cages and it would be on the left and at times felt on my right side and I would take painkillers for it.i eventually got the implant removed and given meds to control my hormones but the pains didn t go away.just subsided.i had my period but never saw that thick ligning that comes out with it.so am wondering what does that mean n what is causing the sharp pain right under my ribcage and at times I cant even move an inch.like I have to lie flat on a level ground.kindly help me out

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, rib cage pain and menses are two different conditions and they are nothing to do any thing with each other irregular menses could be due to hormone changes and rib pain could be muscular spasm for that I would suggest "Tab Chlorzoxazone with Acetaminophen" if you have given hormone medicine for regulation of menses then this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
