What Causes Sharp Pain Under Right Rib During Inhalation?
I have been experiencing sharp pain under my rib on the right side when I take a deep breath or cough. I first thought I had strained my abs from working in the flower bed, but the pain became extremely worse when I had sausage for dinner. I have been staying away from fats and drinking some lemon and soaking in epsome salt, but the pain is still their. I have tried to palpate the pain, but it seems to be internal.
hi healthcare magic user, from your history it looks like that you could have chostochondritis? or it could be hepatic neuralgia if you had history of herpes. if I would have been your doctor, I would have advised for local examination, chest X-ray .detail clinical history such as respiratory infection, heart disease. on local examination it may do tenderness, redness. need to rule out local infection. you should avoid strenuous exercise which will aggravate condition. Apply ice or hot water bag to affected area. you can have painkillers if not allergic such as Brufen, Naproxen.
