What Causes Sharp Pains Post A Fracture?

hi in september i had a webber c ankle fracture and was in plaster cast 4 about 13/14 weeks then december i had the screw removed . iwas told i was aloud 2 start weight bearin after 3 days everythin was goin well till yesterday iv bin havin sharp pains were the metal and screws are i cant even put pressure on my ankle whats the chaces i have re fractured it and is it worth goin 2 hospital 4 an xray
