What Causes Sharp Piercing Pain In Knee Along With Swelling On The Shin?

I am a runner. Ran a ten miler two weeks ago with no issue, ran yesterday no issue. Stood up today from my desk to a sharp, piercing pain just below my left knee on the inside. When I first stand I can barely put pressure on my leg. Slightly swollen at the site just down towards inside shin. After walking a bit it feels ok. Tendinitis?

Hi and welcome to HCM,
From the description you ahve given it seems like you have a soft tissue injury in your knee, which could be either tendinitis, or bursitis.
I advice you to take some oral anti inflammatory tablets and topical gel.
Most important is REST.
