Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Had the flu 5 days ago. While vomiting I started getting a sharp pain in my collarbone / right shoulder area that was basically paralyzing. Got to point I didn t want to vomit just so that I did not have that sensation. 5 days later, just have this numbing weakness in that area, front to back. Is this perhaps a shoulder/neck stinger? Very uncomfortable.
It could be owing to gallstones. I suggest you have an ultrasound of your liver and gallbladder. If this is clear, it could be nerve entrapment and you should be examined by an orthopedic surgeon or neurosurgeon.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
