What Causes Sharp Stabbing Pain Between The Shoulder Blades?
I have a sharp pain like a knife or a thorn stabbing me between my should blade and the top vertebrae. Originally the pain was in the top cervical? vertebrae and has moved to the area between. It is worse with certain movements but I can t predict which movement. It does not hurt if I don t move much. If I reach across my shoulder and push on the bones in that area I can find a tender spot if I push hard. I am taking a lot of ibupropen which takes the edge off but does not eliminate the pain

It is just a musculoskeletal pain. As a first line management you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Diclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist, you can consult a physician and get evaluated.
