Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I awoke with sharp stabbing pain (sweaty shortness of breath) in the middle of the inside of my elbow and what i thought was my heart at the same time, lasting 1-2 seconds every 30-60 seconds for approx 1/2 an hour. I went to ER and they ran several tests stating is was NOT my heart but had no explanation for what it could be. Any thoughts?
sharp stabbing pain in the elbow with heart rate also increased may be a coincidence. throbbing pain in elbow may suggest some muscular problem mostly sprained muscle if you are doing any heavy weight lifting recently.
The rise in heart rate may be due to anxiety related to it. mention your age and have any other problem related to heart in past also help to diagnosis properly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
