What Causes Sharp Throbbing Pain In Left Chest While Suffering From Cardiomyopathy?
In the last two hours, I have felt a sharp throbbing pain lasting under a second at about 4 second intervals for about a minute near my heart area towards the middle of my left breast. I have cardiomyopathy and have been diagnosed with Heart Failure and PVC s. I am on two drugs, one for the cardiomyotpathy and a beta-blocker. I have felt tightness in my shoulder region before but I was assure it was normal. I have never felt this new sharp throbbing pain before and it has me worried because it was strong enough to wake me up just as I was falling asleep. I have recently experienced a loss in the family and have also been anxious. Could this be a reason for the new pain or is my symptom a sign that my condition is getting worse?
As per my clinical experience, a sharp throbbing pain over left side of chest with left shoulder discomfort does not sound to be normal or taken as granted to be casual. There are chances of this pain to be of cardiac origin in terms of ischemia or developing myocardial infarction. You must be at an ER for emergency EKG evaluation and further guidelines of cure accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
