What Causes Shin Bone Pain And Burning After Fibula Bone Fracture?

I broke my fibula bone December 6th was put into a plaster cast no weight bearing for two weeks then put into a air walking cast for 2.5 weeks, then put into an aircast splint only lasted a week so much pain and burning in my shin bone. I don't go back to see the doctor till February 2. I have put my air cast back on. is the burning normal? My ankle was also clicking and poping while I was wear the splint and sometime in the walking cast Is this normal?
