What Causes Shivering In Body And Fever?
Hello doctor, my mother got shivering fever with vomit on friday, we gave her paracetamol p650 tablets but the fever did not stop, whatever she ate or drank she vomited, so we took her to the doctor on sunday night, the doctor gave her some injections and tablets and asked her to take it for a week. But today evening she again got very bad shivering with fever. Kindly advice if we have to check with an another doctor or proceed with the same tablets for a week. Thank you in advance for your answer.

As per. Your complaint of shivering with fever n vomiting , you should go for blood check up for malarial parasite, widal test for typhoid and urine routine /micro and then consult your family doctor.

I am so sorry to hear about what your mom has been experiencing. If her symptoms have not improved and you think she is getting worse, I will recommend that you get her back to the same doctor for evaluation. What was the cause of her symptoms? Diseases never disappear immediately on starting treatment and you should exercise some patience to allow time for the drugs to act and only seek further medical care if you think she is doing worse of she fails to improve after at least 3days.
