I woke up about 4-5 days ago with what i thought was a crick in my neck. My neck is still stiff, I can move it better, but now I have pain shooting down my shoulder and arm. When my arm is relaxed down by my side the pain is the worst. I can still lift my arm above my head with no problems.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have shooting pain in arms and shoulder. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like wrong sleeping posture , cervical spondylosis , tendinitis , brusitis or carpal tunnel syndrome . I would suggest you to to keep your posture right , apply warm compresses several times a day ans take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain. If condition doesn't get better then consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan MRI and physical examination . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant along with light stretching exercises , physical therapy along with anti inflammatory .
