What Causes Shooting Pain In My Head After Sudden Moment?

Hi. Ok so since i was little i always had this sharp pain in the back of my head. Like if i turn it too fast just right it feels like ive been shot in the head. I thought it was normal but apparently its not. Its on the nape of neck. when it happens, my head jolts the side that it happens on and the pain lasts about a minute. What is this pain? Is it a pinched nerve?
