What Causes Shooting Pain In The Knee?

Hi Doctor For last few days I am having shooting pain like piercing pin type for few seconds in my left knee area & it goes Some times it will repeat or whole day there is nothing but pain is very severe when it comes Can you tell me what can be the reason?

Hi there.

It could be nerve compression, Muscle spasm, cartilage tear. Apply warm compress. Do warm up before any exercise. Take Multivitamin tablets. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Keep well hydrated. Take pain killer during episodes of pain for a week.
