What Causes Shooting Pain In The Rectal Area?

So, i am not on my period, but for the last 36 hours I have been experiencing intense menstral-like cramps. There is shooting pain in my rectum when i sit down; there is intense pain when I have a bowel movement. It feels like extreme constipation, but my bowel movements are regular. It is uncomfortable to urinate, and I have to force or push my urine out. There is no blood, not nausea, no vomiting. Just Pain! The pain comes in waves, but especially when i initially move or sit down.

Hello,
Welcome to HCM.

It could be pelvic inflammatory pain or colitis but needs further evaluation by clinical examination and various tests.

You should go for some routine blood works,ESR and abdominal ultrasound with pelvis to detect the exact underlying cause.

You will require pain killers,muscle relaxants with plenty of water and fruit juices to maintain electrolyte balance.

You should seek advice from nearby gynecologist or physician urgently.
