What Causes Short Menstrual Cycle After A Partial Hysterectomy?

Hi, I had a partial hysterectomy 6 years ago, and had been taking agestyn since the surgery up until 2 months ago. I have had a short cycle since then, and have had some intense pain a couple of times since. I am wondering if I should go ahead and have a full hysterectomy at this point or will the pain just go away?

Hello,

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to a hormonal imbalance. For this reason, I would first recommend performing an abdominal ultrasound in order to examine your ovaries.
You should discuss with your doctor on this issue.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
