Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Short Temper, Constant Agitated Behavior And Prolonged Heavy Menstruation?
Hi, my 15 year old daughter has always been strongwilled and dealt with anger issues but has been constant for a few years now. She was on Imiprimam from age 10-12 for night time incontinence and that is when it seemed to escalate. She has a pretty average life, no history of any kind of abuse, nothing substantial or out of the ordinary going on. Typical teenage life. She has stated that she doesnt know whats wrong and why she feels so angry so often. It has caused her to be able have very few friends and cause strife in all of her relationships. I have tried natural mood stabilizer herbs, we talk about things often nothing seems to help. She feels often as if she has no control of herself. I have been researching mental disorders and wondering about hormonal imbalances. She has very long heavy periods which during that she is more aggitated but it never goes away. It is daily and she flips on a dime, reacting to things that do not call for a response like she has.
After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that mood swings during periods is very common and normal and she can have certain mood elevating food, rest she can consult a psychologist for counselling.
Hopefully this information will guide you properly.
Kind Regards Dr Bhanu Partap
