What Causes Shortness Of Breath After Taking Neurontin?

I have been taking 1800 mg. a day of neurontin for about 3months. Today I had some shortness of breath just 45 minutes after my dose and it stayed with me for about 2 hours. I did not call 911 but was very fearful. I do NOT plan to take it again because it really scared me.....I am a 79 year old woman who has several meds I have taken that I can no longer take due to allergic reactions. YYYY@YYYY

I really appreciate your concern, you sated that you have symptoms of shortness of breath but it may not be due to medicine but it may be due to anything else and for that you need to get done the EKG and ECHO, if these turns unremarkable then it may be due to some functional disorders but it is not the drug caused this hope this information helps.
