What Causes Shortness Of Breath Along With Fatigue An Low Lymphocyte Count?
MY DOCTOR SAYS THAT A C- SCAN SHOWS THAT I HAVE PNEUMONIA, PUT ME ON ANTIBIOTICS, AND SCHEDULED A PET SCAN NEXT WEEK. I AM STILL SHORT OF BREATH, VERY FATIGUED AND JUST WAITING. MY BLOOD WORK WAS NORMAL EXCEPT LYMPHOCYTES WERE LOW AND PROTIEN HIGH. CHEST XRAY WAS NORMAL. CAN I HAVE PNEUMONIA WITH A NORMAL CHEST XRAY?

Lymphocyte alteration can be part of an immune response in various aspects to underlying inflammation. Pneumonia can be present with normal chest X-ray as CT scan has a high resolution diagnostic accuracy as compared to X-ray.
