Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Difficulty in breathing or shortness of breath are side effects of Armour thyroid. Thyroid patients often complain of fatigue, muscle aches, and spasms. Don't worry. But when you experience symptoms like diarrhea, increased sweating, sensitivity to heat, mood changes, extreme tiredness, swelling hands, seizures or chest pain, you should report to your treating doctor or visit ER because your doses of Armour thyroid need to be monitored (decreased/increased) according to your symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr Nupur K
