Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have shortness of breath and fatigue in an elderly person. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like asthma , cardiomyopathy , obesity , pulmonary fibrosis or other heart related problems . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist to rule out more serious condition . Doctor may order ECG , complete blood profile , troponin t and check vitals and treat accordingly . Doctor may also refer you to chest specialist for lung problem or allergy specialist for problem like asthma . For now eat healthy and try to do some light exercises like walking.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
