What Causes Shortness Of Breath And Feeling A Lump In Throat When Hungry ?

Hi. I am 35 years and on an IUD for two years now. I often experience shortness of breath and occasionally feel a lump in the throat especially when i am hungry or just before my periods. heart problems have been ruled out. i also use fluconazole every month due to very frequent yeast attacks. Pls help.

Hi.
The shortness of breath and lump in throat feeling may not be related to the IUD for sure.

Increase in the problem when hungry or before your periods is suggestive of an organic lesion ( actual growth). These may not be serious as usually it is the hyperplasia( enlargement of the lymphoid tissues) in the upper throat.
This is wither confirmed or ruled out by the ENT Endoscopy, and then treated accordingly.
Take Flucanozole only if you have the actual yeast , otherwise stop this.
