What Causes Shortness Of Breath And Pain In The Right Arm?

Having strange symptoms--don t know if they re related. I have mild shortness of breath when I lay down at night to sleep. Whichever side I lay on, that nostril fills with mucous and becomes blocked for breathing. I end up raising my head with another pillow, which I find uncomfortable. I also put vick s vapor rub under my nose to ease my breathing. After raising my head, my sinuses begin draining into my lungs and causes me to cough. Also, having intense pain in left hip or right arm upon awakening. Depends which side I slept on the longest. I thought it was joint pain or something internal, but am reaslizing it shifts according to how I slept. Is this symptom a predecessor to bedsores? Why woukld I be sore after sleeping? I know nothing about medicine, but it s almost like I have a fluid buildup in my body and my blood, etc. is not being circulated efficiently. Any ideas?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It all sounds like it is related to sinus problems. The most possible cause is sinuitis, that can be bacterial or a result of allergies.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
