What Causes Shortness Of Breath, Mild Chest Pain And High Blood Pressure?

I m 59 years old female, my x rays shows aorta is lightly unfolding and tortuous. The heart is slightly enlarged. Does the shortness of breath I have is it because of my heart? Once in awhile I also get mild chest pain. I also have high blood pressure.

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have unfolding and tortuous aorta along with shortness of breath and mild chest pain . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like angina , heart attack like condition . But in your case it iss probably due to tortuous aorta . There are certain complication of unfolding and tortuous aorta like hight blood pressure , feeling of pressure in chest , shortness or breath and pain in chest . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper examination and treatment without any delay to prevent further complication . Doctor may order chest x-ray again , ECG , TMT and complete blood profile . Doctor may recommend surgery or balloon angioplasty .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
