What Causes Shortness Of Breath, Mild Heaviness In The Chest, Blocked Nose And Cold?
For 5 days now I have been experiencing shortness of breath, a very subtle heaviness in my chest, blocked nose, the feeling that I am not getting enough air and a regular cold. My chest is in no pain, although sometimes I get very very mild, subtle hints of a dull achy pain. I am not coughing, or coughing up blood, I do not have a temperature or anything like that. What on earth is wrong with my lungs?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of shortness of breath, mild heaviness in the chest, blocked nose and cold which seems to be due to disturbed electrolyte balance in body. It could be due to infection by strep bacteria. The symptoms can also occur due chest infection. Do warm saline gargles with pinch of salt water. Take expectorants. Steam inhalation is very effective for you. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist without any delay . Doctor may order blood test , throat swab test or virus culture test. You should get an x ray of the chest and Immunoglobulin G levels checked for further treatment. Doctor may also refer you to chest specialist for chest infection. You should avoid hot, sharp and spicy foods. Take plenty of fluids and oral rehydrating solution as well. Avoid intake of outside food.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
