What Causes Shortness Of Breath , Nausea And High Blood Pressure?
I am a 39 year old female with these symptoms for over a year: Uncontrolled high blood pressure, nausea, right side/flank pain, blue color to hands and feet, feeling of being frozen, shortness of breath, occasional blurred vision and memory fog. My doctor has done an EKG, stress test and chest CT. All tests were normal. I m up to 50mg Metoprolol BID and still having really high BP s and these symptoms. Can someone please figure out what is wrong with me. I m scared.
Hi,welcome to Healthcare magic. Thanks for posting your question on this forum. I understand your query and concern. Many of your symptoms are related to high blood pressure uncontrolled. Its important that Metoprolol dose is increased to 100mg SR taken once a day and 50 mg at bed time.Likewise a complete ultrasound of the abdomen is needed to document any renal pathology responsible for flank pain.Fundoscopy is must in your case to document hypertensive retinopathy.I advise you to have a baseline ECG and 2 dimensional echo on the follow up to have a recent quick review of your cardiac functional reserve.Consult an expert cardiologist for further expert management. Post your further queries if any. Thank you.
