What Causes Shortness Of Breath, Pain In Chest And Dizziness?

I am 67. I have been having internitent, moderate pain in my neck, shoulder and upper arm on the right side. I have no hx of heart issues and have always been healthy. I have recently been sitting in a new chair while watching TV. I have no other heart attack symptomos - shortness of breath, chest pain, dizziness, etc.. Do I need to go to the ER?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have shortness of breath, pain in chest and dizziness . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are probably due to cardiac problem . Doctor may order ECG , TMT , complete blood profile and check vitals . Doctor may prescribe isosorbide nitrate , betablockers , aspirin , diuretic or sedative . Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic surgeon for muscle spasm . For now take proper rest , do not exert your body and keep yourself relax . There can also be a problem like COPD and chest infection .
