Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Shortness Of Breath Upon Bending Down?
Lately I am noticing shortness of breath when i bend to tie shoes, seems like i can hear air leak sound in my head not directly in ears. I had ekg & stress test over a year ago and was told OK and have the aorta of a much younger woman, I am 35 lbs over weight (dur to overeating and lack of exercise ).. Heart disease on both side of family.
But you will have to control your eating habits & follow a healthy lifestyle. Shortness of breath is commonly caused by COPD, Asthma, Obesity, Heart dysfunction, Anemia, Pneumonia, Allergy, etc. If shortness of breath that you experience is accompanied with pain in the chest & is persistent then you need to visit ER & get Lipid function tests done along with CBC, Urinalysis, Ecg, Echocardiography & other imaging tests if required. Do regular exercises.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
