What Causes Shortness Of Breath, Wheezing And Cough With Phlegm?

My doctor has diagnosed my shortness of breath, wheezing, long term coughing up phlegm as adult asthma. Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of shortness of breath, wheezing and cough with phlegm which seems to be due to acute bronchitis and upper respiratory infection.

Need not to worry. For now eat light at night, take benadryl and keep your head elevated while lying down. Avoid intake of outside food. Avoid cold, carbonated beverages. I would suggest you to consult pulmonologist for proper examination. Doctor may order chest x-ray, blood test and check vitals and start treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
