I have chronic Lyme , which has caused me get a severe case of neuropathy. I take 25mg of Librium per day, along with 900 mg of Gabapentin( 3 pills 300mg each), and I also take 0.2 mg of Clonidine(2 pills 0.1mg each) for the intense pain/burning and anxiety due to this debilitating disease. I also will take an occasional Ativan if the symptoms get really bad. I have sleep apnea-and so I have been using a CPAP machine for about 3 months, and I also just re started taking a Ventolin inhaler for my moderate asthma(I have had some wheezing/whistling in the morning). All of these things have been reviewed and thus prescribed my various doctors-my Pulmonologist, my Neurologist, my Physiatrist, my Cardiologist, my Lyme Specialists etc,. I am still having some breathing issues-some shortness of breath, but more so almost rapid like hyperventilating feeling. I have had all the necessary tests, and they all seem to be OK. My question is-first of all what are your general thoughts(is it possibly due to the Neuropathy), and secondly do believe that any of the drugs that I am taking could be causing this breathing issue-I read some place that Benzos could possibly cause respiratory issues. Please advise.
