What Causes Shortness Of Breath While Suffering From Asthma?
Good evening my name is janette 5 days ago I stared experiencing sort of breathing , heavy breathing throat closing in chocking like symptoms partitations I suffer from asthma is trigger by cold weather.allegies I dnt feel I am having an asthma attack but I gasp for air a friend if mine is EMS took my pressure rating is good so is the heart rate and oxygen I currently take syndroid for my hyroid condition I take 200m and my daily Proventil inhaler. I am 47 years female

Hello,
During Asthma, there is compression of the respiratory tract which happens due to bronchospasm. As the bronchospasm occur there will be less intensity of the air intake and air outlet.
Taking nebulizer will be good along with budecort and Duolin. Once the breathing comes under control than I will advise for pulmonary rehabilitation.
As this will help improve the functional capacity of the lungs, improve muscle strength in the rib cage, improve muscle strength in the muscles of respiration like the diaphragm and the accessory muscles of respiration.
Doing regular breathing exercises also play a key role in improving the pulmonary system.
In my clinical practice of over 12 years, most cases with bronchial Asthma responds well to pulmonary rehabilitation under a guided physiotherapist.
