What Causes Shortness Of Breath While Using Omniprazole Tablets?

hi-
I have been taking 20 mg of ppi omneprazole for 10 years & recently I feel shortness of breath which I am able to get of rid if I take gaviscon. My dr told me to change my ppi to Lansoprazole 30mg a day.
Any thoughts on what else I should do -
