What Causes Shortness Of Breath With A Whistling Sound While Breathing?
I had two hip replacements in 2016, where a tube was inserted down my throat both times to enable breathing. Then, I had bronchitis in late 2017. Now I have shortness of breath when I walk more than 1,000 feet and in the evening and morning (especially) I have a whisteling sound - only when I exhale. From this information, can you help? Becky

Hello,
While exhaling, you have whistling sound and shortness of breath, so please undergo chest x-ray PA view and spirometry.
Avoid smoking and polluted air. Do deep breathing exercises. Also, undergo ECG and BP monitoring.
