General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of shortness of breath, oxygen saturation falls on activities, was in hospital for 4 days and they could not find what is wrong.
The commonest causes that are missed are as follows:
Cardiac problems.
Respiratory problems like Asthma, COPD, any other condition affecting the airways or actual transport of oxygen to the lungs and thus the blood.
This is what is getting you the symptoms.
Since the hospital could not tell you the reasons, I would advise you the following:
For proper diagnosis you need a proper auscultation of lungs and heart, cardiac evaluation and evaluation for the lungs.
PFT meaning pulmonary function tests.
X-ray or CT scan of chest.
Relevant blood tests.
All these will lead to a proper diagnosis nd thus allow a proper management as per the cause found.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
